Registration Open: Respiratory Protection Awareness Training for NY Community Health Centers
CHCANYS Emergency Management team is proud to present upcoming workshops on respiratory protection for New York community health centers in partnership with the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium.
The Respiratory Protection Awareness Training for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) will provide a comprehensive overview of Respiratory Protection Program requirements, considerations for employee training and fit testing procedures, as well as documentation requirements for the same.
By the end of this training, FQHC staff will 1) improve their understanding of and ability to implement a respiratory protection program at their health center, 2) gain confidence in their knowledge of fit testing procedures, and 3) increase their awareness of available fit-test resources.
Participants have the option to sign up for a Level 1 or Level 2 training.
Level 1 - Introductory (December 9 @ 12-2pm ET) - REGISTER HERE - This training is appropriate for staff who have previously received little or no training in respiratory protection and/or your FQHC does not have an existing respiratory protection program. By attending this session, you will have an overview of the importance of a respiratory protection program and the tools needed to develop and implement a protocol at your FQHC.
Level 2 - Advanced (December 10 @ 10am-12pm ET) - REGISTER HERE - This training is appropriate for staff who are familiar with respiratory protection program requirements and/or your FQHC has an existing program. By attending this session, you will be given a refresher of the importance of a respiratory protection program, be able to identify successes or gaps in your program, and develop plans to improve it.
Target Audience: This training is open to all New York staff at Federally Qualified Health Centers.
Registration is free of charge and 1.5 CNEs/CMEs will be offered. Attendees must complete the evaluation to receive a CNE/CME certificate. Each participating health center network will also receive a FREE fit testing kit.
