OSHA to Host Safety and Health Virtual Summit on May 10, 2021
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Region 2 is pleased announce its Safety and Health Virtual Summit, "Building a Safer Future – Workplaces During the Pandemic” being held from May 10th through 13th, 2021. This summit will be a digital outreach event geared towards every level of staff in your organization, who have a responsibility for workplace safety and health. Even if you just want to learn a bit more on these topics, you are welcome to join.
This Virtual Summit highlights several industries impacted by the pandemic and attendees will gain important knowledge to keep their businesses open while ensuring their workers’ safety at the same time.
The event will launch on May 10, 2021 at 10 AM EDT with a General Session including presentations on:
OSHA’s COVID National Emphasis Program;
respiratory protection and face masking; and
whistleblower, and EEO concerns.
In addition to the General Session on May 10th, industry specific sessions will be held from May 11 to May 13th and will focus on: Healthcare; Retail and Grocery; Restaurants; Construction; and Manufacturing. The Healthcare session will take place on May 11 with a presentation by CHCANYS Emergency Management and Hudson Headwaters Health Network.
