New York State Eliminates $100,000 Civil Penalty for Vaccine Providers that Do Not Use Weekly Supply

The recently extended New York State Executive Order (EO) 202.102 has been modified to eliminate the $100,000 civil penalty for vaccine providers that fail to administer all allocated vaccine doses within seven days of receipt.

While the changes are intended to give vaccine providers needed flexibility, the New York State Department of Health has noted that vaccine throughput will be closely monitored and factored into ongoing vaccine allocation decisions. Week 20 Planning request extension until 5:00 p.m. today for New York State (outside of New York City) Vaccine Providers For New York State vaccine providers enrolled in the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS), if you would like to submit/revise a Week 20 vaccine planning request in light of the above announcement, you have until today at 5:00 p.m. to make your request. If you previously submitted a request, please note that to add doses, you will need to enter the new quantity of vaccine you would like to request and click “submit updates.” The system will add a new planning request line with the additional doses requested.
