CDC Reverses Testing Guidelines for People Without Covid-19 Symptoms

In August, the CDC quietly changed its guidelines around COVID-19 testing for asymptomatic people. Over 250+ leading health organizations advocated to create and circulate an organizational sign-on letter, urging the CDC to update the guidelines to reflect best practices in public health. After widespread criticism, the CDC reversed their recommendations.The agency now says anyone exposed to an infected person for more than 15 minutes needs a test.
